I'm not doubting you on this. I'm really not. I don't give a shite either way. I'm mocking you pounding the drum beat every time it's brought up.
At first you said it's Mike Leach unless something major happens. (Huge out clause)
Now, I'm mocking you for how many times you've posting Mike Leach's name.
From now on, I'm going to mock you for name dropping.

Eh... Fred has been there and sitting among them due to Cannon. Hasn't missed a game yet.

Can I get an explanation on all of the Rich Rod love? He couldn't win at Michigan, a school with facilities and resources light years ahead of Ole Miss', so why could he win here
do you just ignore what he did at WVU?

Im guessing you and Fred Smith are boys as well who take vacations together to Tahiti or Fiji.

RebelGator you are the most connected poster of all of the TD Ole Miss posters.

please please please hire Rich Rod. That would be a great hire for Ole Miss. What a perfect fit. Oh please let this happen.

FIFY. Nice try though.
I'm not by a long shot, but right now all the information is going through people I do happen to know.

RebelGator tell me this then, why is Leach at the top of the list of candidates?
What does he bring to the table? he runs the spread run and shoot offense and I could see that being appealing to offensive players. Ive never known him as much of a recruiter.

If they got rich rod and kept keith burns at DC that would be a damn fine coaching staff

What does he bring to the table
A knowledge of how to use the whole field, a system offense that doesn't rely on having 11 5 star recruits on the field, an ability to develop players beyond the field. Look at how graduation rates and discipline issues went down when he took over at Tech. He could pull the most out of our players much like he did with a former walk on named Wes Welker (you might have heard of him).
Yes, he runs what you could call a gimmick O, but so does Mullen and in all honesty system coaches are necessary at the smaller schools if you want to win. We can't recruit well enough to run a Bama style O, but you give Leach access to Brassel and Moncrief with time to develop Stoudt and they'll be throwing all over the field.

He is. He got his start as a recruiter actually. He just didn't have the resources to pull the big names at Tech when competing with all the other Texas schools. He did more with less and he could do big big things here.
He just needs to hire a brilliant DC.

Who is there behind Stoudt? Mackey will be a SR next year, and Brunetti just doesn't fit into the offense that Leach runs.
I think he will have to go out to Texas or Florida to find QBs that fit his style of system b/c very few here in Mississippi run it.

He can always keep Tyrone Nix

That guy who stole swim trunks. Attrition killed Nutt IMO.

Leach is going to have to find a QB who fits the mold of his offense like Kingsbury and the other guys he had at Texas Tech. Similar to the guys at Houston with Keenum

Mike Glenn has more pull in hiring the next OM head coach than Dan Jones though. Jones is just a figurehead with no power when it comes to athleteics.

Shouldn't be an issue. Texas kids love Oxford.
BTW..... Y'all might have dodged a bullet by sucking this year assuming Paterno "retires." I've always though Merlins had his eye on that job.
