I like the idea of having an rilvar with Ole Miss but i wish they would change the name of the game. " Magnolia Bowl " just does not cut it. Shame on the student body members for this travesty.

I remember reading the other finalist names and liked them much better than the Magnolia Bowl..one was like Battle for the Delta and i cant remember the other ones

i think we get yall here this year(going off memory) so probably next year. last year was the first time i didnt make the trip up for the baseball series in like the last 3 or 4 trips.

And as far as that trophy goes - I was at one time (for a long time) a student at LSU and am now am Alumi and a season ticket holder - and I can give 2 shits what some quadralizing jackasses came up with in between rants on free speech alley and tapastry sales at the Union (do they still do that) having a trophy for the ole miss game sucks almost as bad as having one for the Ark game.

Where are you reading this crap? Show me the link that says 15,000 lsu students voted in favor of giving this "rivalry" a name and a trophy.
BOTH student governments worked out this idea and I promise you, that majority of the LSU students couldn't have cared less. Most tiger fans don't even consider this game a rivarly.

I just left the game. Sat in the Diamond Club, VERY nice ball park and field. Haven't seen LSU's yet, but damn Ole Miss did it right with theirs. The outfield is still fun with the drunk students and the rest of the park is cool.
