lord knows Ole Miss fans view this win as if they actually won the entire SEC....
Yep. I work with two of them, and they seriously don't give a shite about anything except beating us. Sucks for them they won't get pleasure from rubbing it in to me at work tommorrow. I seriously do not give a shite about this game, and in some ways am glad we lost so Miles arse can start to get out the door.

Yes I am. Ole Miss was incredibly unlucky. Did you notice they had not 1, but 2 touchdowns called back after a chickenshit block in the back call on the QB on an interception return, plus a PF for the player jumping into the endzone, plus the play where the defender forced the WR out of bounds, but they call illegal touching. If, and I say if, all the calls were correct, that is a little bad luck, especially the illegal touching.
Did you notice the blocked FG returned for a TD? Hell if the kicker just misses it, this game is very different, but the 2 previous TD's called back plus a blocked FG returned for a TD is bad luck.
Did you notice that LSU failed to move the ball at all in the second half until the final 3 minutes of the game, down by 8 points? Did you notice the miracle onsides kick that LSU recovered? That is what you call unlucky, the ball didn't even bounce. Did you notice the miracle 4th and 26 that LSU had lucky on? A hail mary completion is always luck.
I'm sure I missed a few if any Ole Miss fans want to fill in the blanks.
Block in the back was legit, celebration wasn't. No way that should have been a TD.
The receiver got pushed out but then made no effort get back in and took several steps out of bounds before getting back in. That's illegal touching.
The Hail Mary and onside kick were obviously lucky on our part but the team was put in the position to have to do that directly because of the absolute joke of a play calling scheme that even the girls I was with recognized as being fatally flawed.
What about inexplicably rushing a play rather than wait for the replay after the punt was downed at the 1 when on replay it looked like there was a good chance the ball crossed the plain and should have been placed at the 20?
What about the ridiculous onside kick attempt right after we scored and had started to take the momentum of the game?
What about John Chavis simply REFUSING to make even the most minor of adjustments when it's plain as day to everyone that Ole Miss is just going to run the same trap and off tackle plays they have run all night?
What about Gary Crowton calling a fricking FADE ROUTE on a two point conversion....TWICE!!!!
What about calling a read option with a Quarterback that has an injured ankle and then wondering why his injury is aggravated after he gets pulverized by the linebackers?
What about when Ole Miss runs the EXACT SAME blitz package OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN and we make no effort whatsoever to adjust our playcalling?
I can go on and on and on. This was one of the worst coached games I had ever seen BEFORE the final sequence, which BY ITSELF was a fireable offense, so GTFO with this Ole Miss wasn't lucky bullshite.

I wasn't talking to you so I really don't give a frick. You've already proven that you don't know shite about football.

Good Luck, Bad Luck aside the better team won.
The tigers have a ton of talented players, and I'd hate to see what happens when a real coach steps in there.

Noted.

I'll say this. I would be pissed/disappointed/sad all at once too if I was an LSU fan. I would probably stay that way for awhile and would probably give no frick how the Arkansas game goes.

If you are saying that Ole Miss got lucky that LSU had Miles for a coach I can buy that. And since all you are doing is arguing that LSU had poor play calling that is what you are really doing.

Slight oversimplification but basically yeah

Actually, you forgot the Keiland Williams fumble that should have been a TD for us. We had two guys try to pick it up. They both missed it, and it went out of bounds.

And you're really going to say Ole Miss wasn't lucky?
So you're saying we were lucky? What's below is copied and pasted from another board. Enjoy.
quote:
Lucky? Really? Perhaps I was watching a different game.
Luck is your QB throwing an INT and upon the subsequent return for a touchdown two severely questionable flags are thrown against your opponent that negates the TD AND backs them up 25 total yards.
Blocking a field goal and having it bounce just right so you can run it back 50+ yards for a TD is luck.
Luck is a strange sequence of events that causes a 14 point swing in your favor.
Luck is your defender pushing a receiver out of bounds, having the receiver come back in bounds to catch a touchdown and then having that TD reversed for "illegal touching" as the receiver was said to have "voluntarily gone out of bounds and was the first to touch the ball."
Luck is 113 yards in the 4th quarter when you'd only had 182 in the 3 quarters prior.
Luck is getting the ball in the 4th quarter down by 8 with 3:42 on the clock being 66 yards from the endzone when your best drive of the night was 53 yards and marching all the way for the TD.
Luck is scoring a TD down by 8 and getting two chances for a two point conversion to tie the game.
Capturing an onside kick with no contention is luck.
Luck is a 42 yard completion on 4th and ~27.
Almost everything listed above is fairly improbable to occur within a football game, much less all in the same game and all in one team's favor. The Les Miles debacle at the end was the Yin to LSU's whopping serving of Yang.
The game should've been much uglier in our favor by a wide margin but wasn't because of a particular team being lucky. That team was certainly not us. The debacle was justice. The better team tonight simply survived to get the win after a TON of unfortunate events.

Both teams were unlucky. I don't think there's any positives to be taken from this, so I'm using the negative connotation for both.
Maybe I'm biased, but I think LSU suffered from worse luck - and I say this only because of that terrible final minute being a huge break for Ole Miss. I don't think Miles handles it that badly nine times out of ten, honestly.
But frankly, I think they both took a sledgehammer to a mirror or something before this game.

Ole Miss played better vs LSU than Bama did.

What say the SECrant?
To MOST LSU fans, it doesn't really matter. The game doesn't matter. We want Les Miles gone yesterday. That's all that matters right now. I don't care if LSU ends up 10-3 (they won't). I don't give a rats behind about what Ole Miss did or what they didn't do.
I'm sick and tired of Miles' BS.
