This is such a stupid move by Texas... There's no way this makes them money in the long run.. No way whatsoever... They will not only lose home/home OOC games with BCS conference schools, their opponents will now demand that a no LHN clause be added in to all of their contracts.

If UT has half a brain, they wont do that. They will make sure that is a night ABC game.

I don't think they have. That will be a national game. ESPN/ABC, not the LHN.

According to thier contract, it is up to UT. They very well could.

his section is far more complex compared to the Ole Miss document. It sure reads as if Notre Dame has essentially agreed to let the football game air on the Longhorn Network.

So, bevo is within their rights to put the game on the LHN, per the contract that was signed before the LHN existed (but bevo surely knew they were thinking about such a network and worded the contract accordingly so as to be able to screw their opponent.) And...bevo is letting their greed get in the way of what makes the most sense in the long run?

Sounds like nothing has changed. Every day that passes makes me more happy to be away from that dumpster fire of a conference run by Dodds and his band of sycophants.

Sorry you got caught up in bevo's greedy shenanigans, Ole Miss. Been there, done that, and escaped. Ross Bjork will find a way to get the game as much exposure as possible.

Bjork did some great things while in Columbia and he has already accomplished some pretty amazing things during his short stay in Oxford.

He's a great guy. I worked on some AD stuff back then, and Ross was one of my favorite guys in the department. Smart, focused, total class act and a genuinely good person. Y'all got lucky landing him.

Would it be that big of an upset? I don't think so.

I mean, I'm not exactly sure, y'all came on late last year, but they definitely out athleted you last year. I'm not so sure if one recruiting class really pulls you too much closer.

They could. I doubt they will.

They were incredibly young last year, and just learning Freeze's system. The Rebels at the end of the year were a completely different team.

I'm not saying it's a definite win for us, but if Texas thinks Ole Miss will be the same team they played last year, they are in for a rude awakening.

At the very least I know they aren't going to have 700 yards of offense again. Sure as shite not gonna have 350 rushing yards

I personally think Ole Miss has a VERY real shot at winning. Y'all got better every game last year. It was really something to watch. Different squad by the end.

HOW ARE Y'ALL NOT FURIOUS?!?!

You're being robbed of the national exposure of beating one of the top 5 all-time programs on national TV. Robbed. Y'all signed that contract without a "No LHN Clause" because the LHN didn't freakin exist at the time. This is low-down and dirty to the max. I'd refuse to play it.

There's a clause in it I referenced at the top of the previous page that allows them to do this. It's definitely unfair and douchey but unfortunately its legal.

Yea, so ND, Ohio St. & USCw will agree to have their games restricted to the LHN? Wonder how NBC & the BIG Network feels bout this? This kind of crappy mentality is why the Huskers left decades & decades of tradition ( bama take note, it does happen to others) to leave their long time conference affilation.

5 programs have left and 2 conferences have been destroyed because of the burnt orange cows.

Anyone still want these arrogant assholes in the SEC?

And Colorado, Texas A&M, and Missouri. And, 20 years ago, Arkansas. This crap is not new for bevo.

I'd bet they knew the LHN network was in their future when they put this contract in place with Ole Miss. That's why it's written the way it is. It was deliberate, but unfortunately legal. Deloss is a dirty, greedy, arrogant jackass, a "JR Ewing of sports" wannabe, and the rest of the conference sucks up to him because they have no other options. SO glad we're in the SEC.

I'm pretty sure tu returns a ton of guys, and almost everyone on the offense. I mean don't get me wrong, I truly want y'all to win, you have no idea, I'm just skeptical.

NBC has rights to Notre Dame HOME games, same with the B1G Network for OOC HOME games.
