Seriously this could be our starting defense
DE - CJ Johnson - Jr
DT - Gross - So (All- Fr team)
DT - Bennett - Jr or 1 of the Juco guys
DE - Ward - So / RN - FR
LB - DT Shackleford - Sr/Marry - SR(tons of experience and tackles
LB - D Nkemdichie - So
Husky - Collins?- Sr
CB - Sawyer - Sr(tons of experience and very underatted IMO)
FS - Elston - So(learning how to play but can bring the wood)
SS - Prewitt - Jr (Kid is a player and can hit)
CB - Snoop Brassell - So/ Golson - Jr (Both Young athletic guys who will become good to great)
Returning starter in bold
Overall we have a lot of experience and some young talent that played last year. There is 0 chance we don't improve on this year. Not to mention we have a pretty good chance at players like Tony Connor, Lawson, Carr, and Hooks who would help immediately.

Our defense had some decent talent this year. If you look at the Bama, A&M and MSU games, we played pretty well. We just had 0 depth due to Nutt's attrition. We only had 65 scholarship players this year. If we can get some depth, Freeze will be able to run his offense at full pace and our defense won't tire out in the 4th quarter like it did multiple times this year.
