I think he's two classes away from giving us a good look at why kind of product he is capable of putting on the field. We'll see though.

State's 2012 class should prove to be a good one before it's all said and done.

Ole Miss was tending on my twitter feed after State's game ended and they punched their ticket.

I'll let you guess why.

SECW is gonna be interesting this year, to say the least. I really hope Ark is terrible for at least one more year tho.

You havent done anything- I said we had a better SEASON- I never said we had a better team in 2012

That's 2 different arguments

Well, Ole Miss was 7-6 with 2 moral victories and a bowl win.

Mississippi State was 8-4 with no moral victories and a bowl loss.

Even when I ignore the head-to-head matchup between the Landmass schools:

Advantage Ole Miss.

State had more wins
State finished higher in the SEC
State went to a more prestigious bowl game

State had a better season- OM won H2H on their field

When you win more games, finish higher in the conference, and go to a more prestigious bowl- you have a better season than the other team

If you want to have a serious discussion about it, What would Ole Miss' record be with State's schedule and vice-versa?

I think one could look at the outcomes of the games and make reasonable arguments.

Ole Miss' moral victories were more impressive than any of Mississippi State's actual victories.

If Mississippi State won the Egg Bowl, then this thread would never had been made.

Besides Landmass bragging rights, that victory made Ole Miss bowl eligible.

With that, I will politely exit this thread.

You can argue whatever- it still doesnt change facts:

State finished 4th in the SEC West- OM 5th
State went 4-4 in the SEC- OM 3-5
State won 8 games- OM 7
State went to Gator- OM the Bourbon Bowl

Bama has weakest SEC schedule in 2014- that's not going to matter- what will? Their actual record they finish with

So everything except head to head results matters?

Seems legit.

no H2H completely matters- just like it will this year when you play at our place.

Still doesnt change the fact we had a better overall season. And I told Henry- I put it at a push because you guys beat us- even though our season was better

A&M beat Bama- but Bama still has the national title- A&M doesnt. Bama had a better overall season
