Houma is lower class than Lafayette, the difference is that the former is basically compromised of blue collar workers and the latter white collar.

I've been to Laffy too. It's ok, but let's not get carried away. Good food though...

It's not heaven on earth but is certainly a pretty solid place.

Agreed... even as a South Louisianan, I just so happen to prefer the Mid South to the Deep South. Both have pros and cons.
