ok so this is random and i dont know why im doing this since your a bama fan and all

but i live between the square and campus (bout 2 blocks from square) 4 from campus...

we have alot of parking at my house if you need a place to put your car close to campus and bars...
i normally wouldnt do this but you seem like an okay dude and that sucks that u have to drive to
batesville at the end of the night.

let me know if u interested

Damn, that's probably the nicest post I've seen on the this board in the last year. I love my truck dearly and normally don't take it to games not in Tuscaloosa (it's been f'ed with a few times over here by LSU fans unfortunately...the Bama sticker on the back glass must have pissed them off ) so I feel a lot better knowing it's somewhere safe. And I promise, I'm not a douchebag. I'm actually a pretty quite guy and try to not be the type who starts shite when I go to an away game.

But yeah, I'm definitely interested. My email is bamaman45@gmail.com. I really appreciate the offer.

Go to the Library....sports bar, middle bar or patio bar. Come back here on the following Monday and tell us all about it. I promise you will have a blast.

208. But make a reservation. If not there than Lenora's, The Waltz, or Ajax(southern soul food).

I know for a fact that 208 is maxed out on reservations on the Bama game. Most of the people who are coming to the game made reservations weeks ago. Although I think its still possible to eat at the bar if you get their early enough.

I don't think you can make reservations to Ajax. I tried last year and they said they don't take reservations.

1.) Best places to eat? Snack Bar is booked, Im sure so is City Grocery and 208. Try Lenoras, Boure or Ajax.
2.) Must see stuff? Faulkners House, his grave is at the back end of the square. Chicken on a stick for late night. And the Library...it will be packed but the coeds are worth the cover and the hassle.
3.) Parking situation? Theres a church right next to the BP of Jackson close to the square. Pay 10 and walk it.
4.) Best places to go out to on a Friday? Library but it will be packed. Last game weekend I ended up at Downtown Grille on friday and Charlie for ASIP was there and so was a decent crowd and stout drinks. For an older crowd try City Grocery

A friend of mine works there and I got the call that Charlie Day was up there. First game weekend I missed in forever and I miss Charlie Day.

If I see anyone from ASIP in Oxford next weekend I will officially take in Ole Miss as a my second favorite team.

Just wanted to say thanks again to everyone for the advice/recommendations. By all means, keep them coming if you have any more. Like I said, this is my first SEC game not in Bama, LSU or Atlanta so it's nice to know ahead of time what to do and where to go when I get there.
