I'm sorry to break it to you, but the strength of LSU's program is carrying Miles, who just plain isn't a good coach. He's just average.
Les Miles has accomplished more, but he's had more to work with.

I don't doubt that the current strength of LSU's program would carry just about any coach to success, but to say Miles is "not a good coach" is just silly.

Why did you go 8-5 with that talent last year, then?

Houston Nutt went 9-4 with far less talent and a harder schedule.

Look what Miles did at Okie state. He's an average coach, and a good recruiter. Yes ya'll will do fine with him, but you could def get someone better.

miles did a pretty good job at okie state. they weren't a power house when he took over. Im pretty sure they sucked majorly and he got them at least winning

He got them kinda winning by getting good talent there, not by being a great coach.
The man is a great recruiter and an average gameday coach. There is no shame in that.

Nathan Baker, our number 5 pitcher is apparently going for us tomorrow.

He's probably a little better than Bukvich, but also has a tendency to crack under pressure(which makes him fit in well with the team).

FWIW, what Miles did at Oklahoma State doesn't help your argument that Miles is not a good coach. Miles put Oklahoma State back on the college football map after a looong absence.

Miles is a solid coach, and all experts agree. Could we have done better? Possibly. But all you need in college football is a recruiter/manager as recruiting is 90% of winning in college, as the previous 10 national champions provide evidence of such. Miles is one of the top recruiters in the country, is an expert at luring top assistants to LSU, and generally is a great face for the program.

It's highly debatable whether Miles is a great coach or merely a good coach, as that remains to be seen, but everyone agrees that Miles is a good coach. Anyone that says differently has some sort of subjective bias.

i agree he is a average gameday coach but he is pretty smart about surrounding himself with good coaches. Nothing wrong with being a ceo type and letting your assistants do the work that you can't. The only time being an average gameday coach hurts is if you frick up a hire like he did last year with the co dc shite. Even with lee sucking if our d wasn't garbage last year we win 10 games

Bianco is 0-5 in games that could send us to Omaha.
I don't see how Arkansas fans were so upset with Nutt being 3-5 in bowl games.

I mean if we don't make it, I'm ok. We overachieved. If we do, great! I'm going to be talking shite all week to LSU.
