What makes it so hysterical, is the way Auburn fricking loves to play the victim.

We just state the facts that arise from the actions of the crazy bama fanbase

Tree poisoning
Nut sacks on faces
Crazy fights in the stands
Shootings over football

These are a few things that come to mind. Bama is just so good at embracing the crazy a-hole fanbase

He went to jail and the courts have managed to wring some of the restitution money out of him. If you think he's paying close to 800 grand back in his lifetime, you're nuts. He'll just drag this out and live off of the attention every time his name gets drug into the papers. IMO it's better for everyone if Auburn just forgets he exists and moves on.

Non sequitur

The fact that he hasn't paid for it is why he is facing jail time.

they're clearly upset that their efforts to slowly kill the trees was trumped by bama clearly being better than them at one more thing

Such bullshite and a waste of time and money. That judge should be drawn and quartered for the stupidity.

He already served jail time. Is 800k on top of that really punishment fitting the crime? The dude can't get a decent job now because of his record and most everyone in Alabama on both sides hates him to varying degrees. Demanding more money out of him gives him the only thing he really has left to look forward to: publicity. You're letting him be the legendary antagonist to Auburn that he always dreamed of being.

In the minds of some Auburn fans, I guess not. Keep on letting him occupy space in that head of yours if it really makes you happy

You should hold your breath until Harvey pays 800k for termite bait.

The courts are coming hard on him because they want to prevent this from happening again. If it was a light punishment, then bama fan will just poison again.

I highly doubt that. The general response to his crime was one of repulsion and scorn from both sides of the aisle. Always seemed like part of the fringe element. Seems like a watse of taxpayer money to keep on pursuing this guy for money they will never see. I think the message has been sent not to frick around with University property.

Is it our fault ESPN chose to put him on National Television?

He was going to be legendary the moment the Toomer's trees died, and he bragged about it.

Now, he should, at the very least, be forced to pay for that legendary status he craved, imo...

But that's the thing: hasn't he paid? He can't get a decent job now because of his criminal record, he served jail time for it, and now he is either unable or unwilling to continue chipping away at that hefty restitution price tag. Dude ruined his life and, in the process, actually made Auburn a pretty sympathetic figure during a time when they really needed some good public feels (after the whole Cam-Fairley 2010 run). If you just let him go on working his menial job and living in his little apartment or trailer or whatever, people will forget who he is, Auburn will move on with new trees, and all this shite he is putting himself through will be for naught. I'm not saying you have to forgive him (though you can if you want), but take the high road and leave him to wallow in his own misery.
