Its always dumb to say anything derogatory about an opponent prior to a game. Especially someone as competitive as Tebow whose teammates appear to rally around.

It was one player...and sometimes these "bulletin board" statements turn out to be pretty prophetic (see Utah player not impressed with Bama).
And if TT needed this to get him up for the game then he's doing something wrong.
But I agree that him saying it was stupid, simply because it's nowhere near being true.
