It's not the committee, it's the format.

12 teams is too many. It should go back to 4.

They should probably have just 8 team playoff and no bye for the top 4 teams in the first round, 12 is bad, it sucks for the teams that have to play in a conference champ game and then play 1st round of playoffs. Too many chances for injuries for players that could get drafted.

12 team playoff is good for the fans, not necessarily the players.

This, or a 6 team playoff with top 2 getting byes would have been a good expansion.

I think we can all agree that rarely are there more than 4 or 5 teams really deserving of playing for a National Championship after the end of the regular season

Did an OK job with their team selection?

No. There are not 12 teams that are National Championship caliber. An 8 team Playoff would be better. But money talks and ESPN wants the advertising dollars so they get what they want.

Yea but 12 teams is the format, so they had to do the best they could with what they had to work with.

I’m not saying the BCS is a perfect system by any stretch of the imagination. God knows the BCS had its issues too. When you add up the good vs the bad though I think the BCS was a better system overall and was right more than it was wrong. This new playoff system from the days with 4 teams until now with 12 has produced a lot of bad games and more than its share of controversy.

Agree. I’d use the improved BCS ranking to select the top 12.
