Same players he had last year for the most part.

Of course he doesn't. In Arkansas if you aren't part of the Walton family, you are working for them at Walmart.

Wrong. Actually a bunch of Yankee fricks like yourself haved moved into Bentonville and work for them. I don't venture into that area much now

Mizzou gets a lot of Wal Mart money also, Arky has them and Tyson.

Why are you doing this? Mizzou has zero Final Fours...and they claim to be a "basketball school". They are winning with the ex-coaches players, but they're glad Mike is gone? Do you really think anyone is buying this crap?

Mike is gone and they are undefeated with his player, something he could not do with the same players. Not sure what Arky did with Nolan eons ago has to do with current events.

Mike was sitting next to Nolan for 17 years, a former player before that....I can go on?

Pelphrey actually did pretty good with Stan Heath's players. I don't really know what you're getting at.

Yes, that extra year of exp didn't help said players at all that had made it to the tourny last year.

Fun fact, Anderson has the best winning % at Missouri than any coach they have had since 1922.

We've watched how well the Norm Stewart/Quinn Snyder era's worked for Mizzou! Mike saved you from the crack head!... so you're welcome!

Y'all(That means "you guys") are so butthurt!

What helped is actually getting coaching now. It is telling even when close family friends like the Pressey's are talking about how much better it is now under Haith.

Mike Anderson's basketball staff at Missouri was mostly a jobs program for his family.

The guys that asked for their release to transfer to Arkansas, but were denied?

Let me guess. You heard that on Hogville.

LINK

quote:

Further fueling speculation, the Presseys were quiet for weeks between the time Anderson left and Haith took over.

But on Wednesday, before the team practiced at Scottrade, each denied seriously considering a move to Arkansas.

Phil Pressey said his parents had urged them just to concentrate on school as the coaching job was being filled. When Haith was hired, he said he spoke to him immediately and felt they "kind of clicked from the start."

Asked if he had considered joining Anderson, Matt Pressey said, "No, no, no, no." "

He made the best decision for his family, we made the best decision for us," he said, adding that they were "real close" with Anderson but that he understood the move to be just part of the business of college basketball.

Anderson was doing very shitty under Anderson's players last year. I think they ended on a 9-19 skid.

Meanwhile, with a better coach and much better recruiter, the team is playing actual basketball: running set plays, set defenses, scouting opponents, etc...

We definitely upgraded from Suitcase Mike. No-one believed him when he said he "planned to retire from Mizzou".

I guess he did retire from Div 1 ball. Arkansas is Div. II in basketball now, right?
