They do read what you have to say... they just don't know it's you saying it.
I have to think about my reputation in my field, and if people saw what I wrote, there could be backlash. I also write stuff that isn't on a secret blog.

I must confess, I would like to write. I've tried to write. I never make it through anything because I pick myself to pieces. Hell, I'm constantly editing my own posts on this site. About a month ago some of my friends told me I should write, because they all think my stories are so funny. But when I sat down and started writing the first short story, I was so mad at myself over the quality of work that I quit after three days.

Well, it's too late now, but I would suggest participating in NANOWRIMO next year. It's a great way to convince yourself to just write and save the editing for later.

Have you ever found something so funny, you couldn't quit laughing about it? I mean even ten minutes later, you're still laughing and you're not sure why, just everything seems hilarious. This happened to me last night. I went out to eat with some friends, and somebody told me a funny story (which I will have to share later in the IM thread), and I started laughing and I couldn't stop. Tears were pouring out of my eyes and everybody else was laughing because I couldn't stop laughing.
