If that's the case, it makes MUCH more sense. Still left a program high and dry, but it's not like they thought he would be around for a while.

I just can't imagine him ever being able to sustain any period of straightforward behavior. And the assholery doesn't help. I wouldn't want him anywhere near my program.

I'd be more concerned about the hole in recruiting versus performance on the field next year. Arky will be good next year and the Smith hire will be good in that regard.
