Driving in from school today, Bo was on the Paul Petrino bandwagon. He had just interviewed him and claimed that he was best choice. He said Illinois was abnormal for the offense. He stated that since he would be candidate, and only one on staff,if Southern, TU, type schools that he should be given serious look. Yet he completely dismissed any of the administration or off field issues that this would cause. He is feeding the monster and the listners on his show have bought the farm. He also stated that McGee, according to sources, was never considered nor will be. I am not sure what his agenda is yet, but find it interesting he seems to twirl in wind like this.

McGee will not be considered, at all after Long looked into some things.

I do have to agree with the hand Paul was dealt at Illinois. Their QB situation was pitiful and Paul did the best with what he had. The "Petrino" offense is not tooled to be run with a dual threat QB with a noodle for an arm. Scheelhaase just can't throw the ball deep and it really limited them in what they could do.

No way in hell he would leave Washington for Arkansas. Not a chance in the world.
He is a true west coast guy. He's lived no further west in the US than Utah in his entire life. The one time he did venture further west was Saskatchewan, Canada.

Who is/are footballscoop and how do they supposedly know more than anybody else in regards to this?
Football scoop used to be a site for hs/college coaches trying to work the way up the ladder.
Exchanging info that so and so may be taking the job at Whatever State, if he goes he will take his line coach with him so yall get your resumes ready
ETA no sure when or how they decided they were then ultimate authority on whats happening but as it relates to Penn State they knew nothing and the guessing was pretty wack

I do not because of being a friend and ex roomate of the RB coach. But I also understand what you are getting at. As I have stated Paul threw some people under the bus there. I dont think he will be the guy based on surname or experience of not leading a college program with the way this thing is going, who knows what will happen actually.

I know. I watched every single one of their games. It stemmed mainly from lack of a passing game in my opinion. Petrino likes to stretch the field vertically in order to open up the running game late in the field. Scheelhaase didn't allow them to do that and it's scary to think that he was their best choice. He should be a skill player and not a QB.
It looked very reminiscent of Bobby's first year here with Casey Dick. Teams crowded the line and the only thing Dick could throw were crossing routes or else he was going to get killed.

No wonder Paul's been so happy with Wilson this Spring. Compared to Illinois QB's, Tyler probably is Superman.

The perfect candidate has been found. I will let you all know if the face reconstructive surgery works. We can remake, reface, disguise Robert Petrino to be the new and improved Razorback head coach.
Do any one else realize how screwed we are?
It was fun while it lasted but we are back to the Ole Miss and MSUs of the world. We suck.

It's odd that none of our Arkansas fans consider Les as a desirable coach.

Les is Houston Nutt with 5 star talent and an awesome DC.

that's never going to happen. He is not going to screw over Washington. The only job I could see him leaving Washington for is USC eventually.

That thread is one of the most epic clusterfricks that I have ever seen on a message board.
