... one I do not believe I have ever seen before but it illustrates just how tough the SEC really was this year.

Final #1 Bama was beaten by #5 A&M.

#5 UGA was crushed by #8 SC.

#5 A&M was beaten by #9 Florida and #14 LSU.

#8 SC was beaten by #9 Florida and #14 LSU.

I think, in the end, Bama was marginally better than UGA and aTm, who were marginally better than USC, UF and LSU.

FIFY

But do you really want to live vicariously through the Gators while, at the same time, drawing attention to that week schedule you played? Because everyone knows what would have happened if UGA had played a tougher schedule.

Anyway, that's neither here nor there not was it my point.

(I despise trying to post with a phone)

...the remaining observers in the community will note that, probably for the first time in history, four teams in the Top Ten lost to at least one, or more, lesser ranked teams in the same poll and, most notably, from the same conference.

A&M better than LSU? I could have swore LSU beat A&M in College Station.

It all depends on when you catch a team. TAMU caught Bama at the right time. UGA seemed to pull together after that USC arse slapping.

I've posted that Bama is a 3 loss team this year. The luck went their way against Georgia and LSU and of course lost to A&M. I don't consider Bama a dynasty, they just have found the luck to win three out of four. Bama should never have played in the NC last year without winning the west.

For me a dynasty creates more separation then what Bama has had.

Luck plays a part in EVERY national championship season. The way a ball a bounces, a missed call here or there, a team ranked above you losing a game they shouldn't in the last week of the season...they all come down to a good bit of luck.

3 championships in 4 years IS a dynasty, regardless of how butthurt you are about it.
