It has been much improved starting with Kiffin. Fulmer's last few years our special teams were indeed "special."

Sure as shite, this will be the kiss of death, and we will give up a TD here.

Question to fellow UT fans: Does Dooley have the balls to throw Devrin Young on the field to return punts today?

one thing that gets the swamp crazy is a big kick return. if we return one it'll be fun to see how UT responds.

No. I think we'll see him on kickoffs though.

We have been better in coverage since Fulmer was let go. Seems like he didn't take an interest in coaching special team fundamentals, even though it is one of Gen. Neyland's maxims. If it does happen, I don't know if we rebound due to being young and handling the adversity. However, some of these underclassmen have moxy I haven't seen on the hill in years.

Depends on the situation but wouldn't really surprise me.

I expect we see him on the field for a few plays.

I think that he does, and we will see Devrin back there.

I'm sure you saw Dooley's response when asked this question. I'm too lazy to look for the exact quote, but Dooley said something to the effect of people would think he was crazy to put Young in there in The Swamp to play his first game.

This is from the Times Free Press:

'Different element'

The chances that freshman Devrin Young will return punts and/or kicks for the Vols on Saturday appear to be slowly increasing. The Knoxville native returned to contact this week after recovering from a broken collarbone, and UT's coaches have long liked him to fill a role as a return specialist.

"I see a confident, quick [player who] just brings a little bit different element than what we've got right now," special teams coordinator Eric Russell said. "I think he by far fields it better than anybody we've got. He hadn't been hit yet. We'll see where that goes."

Yawn.

Your comparison of Bray and a skinny arse Gumby is irrelevant.

Bray has added at least 3 pounds from last year.
