They have an extremely solid defense and Benny Snell is a great RB. Their QB showed he can throw the ball a bit, too. Should be a great game.

Can my fellow DAWG brethren explain to me why Kirby Smart & Mel Tucker cannot get these defensive players to make tackles? I have never seen so many missed tackles. I am amazed those coaches cannot get this fixed or at least improved - been an issue ALL YEAR.

Snell and UK QB gonna run for 200+ if we don’t tighten it up.

Some Kentucky fans were questioning if Benny might be banged up, but at this point in the season who isn't.

UGA's backs. They're as fresh as a daisy.
Holyfield 85 carries
D'Andre Swift 83 carries
Brian Herrien 30 carries
Hotrod 1 carry

If it's close at half we have a chance because the defense is an absolute monster in the second half. They've only given up 2 second half TD's all season and they were both 40+ yard touchdowns due to blown coverage, same guy both times.

Benny is fine. OL didn't perform and he let it get to his head.

Proper tackling is not an easy fix. You coach players to wrap up the ball carrier, but from high school and even in college kids grow up seeing other players launching themselves at ball carriers and making ESPN Highlight hits, and they get caught up in it. Their teammates ooooo and ahhhh at these type hits and it reinforces them to launch instead of making controlled wrap up tackles.

Breaking that habit is very difficult and takes time.

Wow!!! Are you sure about that? if true that is extremely impressive! Sorry, but I'm going to have to check on that.

Close....the Kentucky starting defense has given up 4 in the second half, although one of those was in OT.
1 to Florida, 1 to South Carolina and 2 to A&M with one of those in OT. (scrubs gave one up to Murray, but you can't blame that on the starters)

Still very impressive, though.

Interested in seeing the fact check on that, but my anecdotal observation is that the Cats have been strong in the 2nd half defensively. And, Stoops likes to grind time off the clock in the 2nd half to shorten the game. Couldn't do it against Mizzou because of playing from behind though.

I expect a close, physical game. Two similar philosophies of grinding it out and wearing your opponent down. A game of attrition probably favors UGA as they are probably a little deeper. UGA also gets their best interior OL, Ben Cleveland, back for this game. I’m expecting a 21-14/24-17 type game with UGA getting a big dose of Benny Snell and UGA riding Holyfield/Swift with a few deep play action shots to Hardman/Ridley/Holloman. If Wilson is able to hit a couple of downfield passes, that could swing the game in UK’s favor.

Knew about the OT and Murray TD but those don't really count. Forgot that the Florida one was a TD and failed 2 point instead of 2 field goals.

Vegas line apparently down to 9.5 now. Not a gambler so I don't really care, would love to know where the money is going and why though.

Dawgs gonna have to load up that box and make Wilson beat them. D. Baker will have half of the field shut down.
