You have to have ELITE, speedy WRs to beat ND. That’s why I think in the SEC only Ole Miss would beat them and A&M did beat them. ND would whip everyone else.

Come on, man. That was a severely outmatched and outclassed Brian Kelly coached ND. Freeman not only is a better coach but he recruits much better than Kelly ever did

I hate ND.
They are one of the best 12 teams.

Why shouldn't Notre Dame make it in with a 10-2 record? They were the national runners-up last year and proved they could make a run in an expanded playoff format. Is this not some deep-seated resentment at the fact that Notre Dame continues to win at a high level without Brian Kelly?

ND under Marcus Freeman is no cream puff. They went tit for tat with arguably the second best team in the country and they lost to a Miami team that when motivated can beat anyone. This ND team would whip Bama convincingly.
Disagree. I don't think ND's Defense is all that good. People are hyping up their Defense since the A&M game but they've only played 1 team with a pulse since then, and USC shot themselves in the foot with bad play-calling. They got lit up by Marcel Reed, who is very inconsistent, and a true freshman WR from Miami. They also can't run the ball on 3rd and 4th and short. They might have the worst kicking situation in the country as well.

Leonard Moore might be the best corner in the country, but their other corners have sort of been a revolving door. A&M, Miami, and USC lit those other corners up.

Rule #1
Notre Dame always gets favoritism. But they actually are a solid team this year.

Yeah right. I don't think an opening game loss has ever been repeatedly brought up as much as that one has been.
As for ND...they played 2 good teams and lost both. Their best win?
Even if in they shouldn't be ranked ahead of Bama.

Dude, Marcel Reed is a Heisman candidate and the freshman WR at Miami, Toney, is one of the best WRs in the country. ND got beat by studs.

Yeah Moore is superb but he’s one DB. And, he has trouble covering smaller, shifty WRs like Toney at Miami and Craver and Conception at A&M.

Maybe I shouldn't care, but are we honestly ranking a Notre Dame team with two losses over a 2 loss Bama with wins over multiple ranked teams? What the frick are we doing?
You must've felt bad about LSU saving Notre Dame football when LSU decided to hire away BK from Notre Dame. Since then Notre Dame has gone to the Championship game and LSU hasn't made the playoffs.

Actually 2-8, but it's ND, so who's counting?

They play a nothing acc schedule, then get blown out in a bowl. Every year.

How long have you been watching cfb?
We can't hold not being a conference against Notre Dame. So when 10-2 SEC team loses the SECCG, we simply must take note how Notre Dame has one fewer loss.
