I don't blame you, it reminds me of the 98 FG game Tennessee had vs Florida. Also, that year they had the Stoerner(sp) fumble. I always felt UT backed into the NC that year. I did root for them to beat Florida State though.

In his later years I came to appreciate Fulmer. He never failed to kick it to Brandon James.

Seriously the 2007 Bama-LSU was the best game that year. Way better than 2011 Bama-LSU.

LSU made me break my hand after the 2005 game when we lost in OT to you guys. I punched the bench in the student section and fully embarrassed my girlfriend at the time. To top it off, my best friend started yelling at her that "it's not all right, we're not winning the West now.".

Yeah but 2005, I thought it was inevitable that Bama would lose. Absolutely were on borrowed time. Wasn't that shocked LSU beat us.

Hindsight being was it is, I would look at a similar situation the same way now. But 2005 was the first really good season I had ever experienced as a fan. I didn't know any better. I was too young to fully appreciate the 90s, and the everything from 2000 to that point was mostly a cluster frick.

Watch out for the Arkie girls... they beat the National Champions and you'll start hearing the calls!

I agree Cap. It was nice to be sitting at 9-0. Just felt fake and unearned. And I knew we didn't have shite on Southern Cal and Texas.

I absolutely thought the same thing. It's why they knew Shula had to go. The margin of victory for each game was by the hair of our chinny chin chins. I had forgotten the feeling until I watched LSU in 2010 and had hope in Miles that he'd beat Cammy cam cam. It all came flooding back.

Older fans like my dad and uncles kept saying we were on borrowed time, but I didn't want to hear it. It was my last football season as a student and I was convinced we were title material. I know what a title team is suppose to look like now. I'll never make that mistake again.

At the time, I sort of thought Saban let them have that one to make them feel better for picking Alabama.

I was spent by November of that season. Too many heart crushing losses.

When we were up 27-17 in the 3rd, I was losing it. Then LSU jerked the rug from underneath us.

That was less of a blow to me. By the time Dubose was fired, I knew the team had checked out. I was also a senior in high school, so I wasn't on campus yet to feel the brunt of the disappointment. There weren't message boards like this to vent on either.

I don't know why people give us such a bad time. Here we are reminiscing about the worst seasons ever. We are languishing in our misery and barely anyone is here to see.
