Why are you talking about the 1990 Alabama-UT game? And in response to me?

I was in The Swamp in 99.

The 87 Florida/Bama was good too.

My favotire games hands down (regarding current audience) was 93 Bama/LSU and 97 UF/LSU. I really don't don't recall much else of the 90's except we had basically become Wyoming.
We would have had more of a chance beating LSU in 1993 had David Palmer just ran draws and sweeps all game, lol. I remember 97 LSU beating #1 Florida. I thought that was the biggest upset ever, when I was 13. Thought Florida was invisible.

I agree 100%, which makes the 2000 season seem even more retarded.

At that point they pretty much were. My favorite game ever was 88 LSU/AU but that one is top 5, no doubt.

The Alabama Florida series is way underrated, IMO.

Gerry Dinardo was obviously a decent coach, taking a Curley Hallman team and beating a Steve Spurrier team. Wtf happened?

My best friend is an Auburn fan and I was spending the night at her house recently. There is an Iron Bowl book someone wrote that year, and since she had it, you know it has to be pro Auburn. They had been with both teams through the season, so it documented Dubose's fail from bragging at the preseason, to the game at UCLA, all the way through to the Iron Bowl. It was at least interesting to see how arrogant he was, and how little he thought he had to prepare to beat everyone.

Not sure. I get some grief at TigerRant because I lump him in with Hallman and Archer but I'm a firm believer in 'you are what your record says you are', which is also why I get a lot of grief for being a CLM homer over there.

Chris Andersen led bama in rushing in 1990.
Lamonde Russell was moved to Flanker after Prince wimbley and Craig Sanderson's knee injuries.

My folks were bama die hards, no need for a history lesson

That actually explains a lot. And what little control Dubose had of things.

No kidding. I think both placekickers did a hit of acid before taking the field in OT. Even our second field goal attempt was stupid to the left.

Apprently...which is hilarious. I've been a fan since 70, endured the 90's, realize the golden age is right now for program. Those guys crack me up.

THis is the book. Maisel wrote co-wrote it...

If you can find it on google books for free, it's at least an interesting read to make you more mad at Dubose.
