Trying to figure out why you keep referencing bowl games when NCs were awarded prior to bowl games. Ole miss finished 3rd in the SEC. Thanks to a goal line stand in Knoxville LSU didn't repeat

Yes, the AP awarded their champion before the bowl game. If anyone cared about that then there would be no debate over any claim of a national title outside of the AP. is it your opinion that any of LSU, UGA or Syracuse were better football teams than Ole Miss in 1959? When all is said and done, after all the games were played only two teams could legitimately claim to be the best team. And those two never got to play each other.

Who gives a frick about what happened in college football in the 50s and 60s. According to you dickheads they're were like 5 national champions in 1960.

The point is, unless you were born in 1940, ole miss football is complete garbage. Always has been. But, a win Saturday could change everything.

First of all, who gives a frick what you think about anything? I don't. Secondly, 100% chance you were not singing that same tune before Saban came to Baton Rouge. You were definitely luckier than Ole Miss in that regard.

Their biggest victory was actually the loss to LSU in 2003, allowing them to claim SEC West CoChamps

1960 is an interesting season to say the least

You have Ole Miss at 10-0-1 -odd to read that they were 5-0-1 in SEC play yet back then there were 12 teams! (GT and Tulane)

For those that dont know Mizzou shite the bed at home against kansas which was later forfeited to them as ku used an ineligble player and won the Orange Bowl for an official 11-0 campaign

Minny took over #1 from MU and then promptly lost the Rose Bowl for two losses but has the official AP title to this day because of the final vote was done before the bowls in those days.

I'll be real with ya'll and admit that we just don't have the history and prestige that other teams in the SEC have. I have more respect for Bama than any other school.

Can you do the rest of America a favor and pass out fliers in the Grove or something?
