Almost losing to a D1 school and losing to a FCS school is completely different. The Utah state and Auburn game was more like LSU last year barely beating Auburn as bad as they were and as good as LSU was supposed to be.

It had nothing to do with losing/winning

The comment was more about a team with a really good QB with no business winning the game catching a team that lost a lot in week 1, and surprising them

Good point, except LSU almost losing to Auburn last year was way more embarrassing than KSU losing to an FCS school.

No, that was a typical SEC road opener with a brand new QB under center

No one will remember the Auburn and LSU game in a year or 2 but the everyone will remember the KSU loss for years to come. It will be on the list with Michigan and App State.

Are you serious right now?

There's a huge difference in almost losing to an FBS school and then losing to an FCS school, bro. Huge difference. There's no reason to even compare them.

How many games would NDSU win in the WAC?

Well the WAC no longer exists.

However, against last years WAC they would have probably would have been very competitive.

I'm talking about the year Utah St almost best auburn..2011

And my point is..just because they are FCS, which is a title, not a definition, that shouldn't make it a "huge difference".

They are a solid program, and would go bowling in the sunbelt this year.

You're forgetting the fact of one team losing and the other team winning...

No I'm not. I stated that my point was a team that had no business winning a game, with a very good QB, catching a team coming off a very good season but lost a lot of talent, and their starting QB.

This happens very often. Just because they are FCS (they are better than their classification) doesn't mean it's not the same as bowling green almost beating Florida, Utah St almost beating auburn, etc

Nationally very few will remember the Auburn and Utah state game in a few years but the KSU upset will be talked about for years. It would have been a bigger deal even if Auburn had lost to Utah State.

Yeah you're probably right about that. I won't, but the casual fan will.

Yeah, people will remember the headline but would not have remembered if KSU just edged out NDSU. FWIW the Auburn/LSU game wasn't all that close statistically but the score being so close certainly was embarrassing for LSU in light of how badly Auburn played most of last year
