Holy shite. Are the Gumps actually saying they don't see this? Really?

I haven't seen it since the game, but I thought he, at most, just touched him. I don't know what the rule is for sure, but that would have been a ticky-tack call at most.

I saw the link, but you can't really see it from that.

Dude, the refs aren't always going to pick up on a small push like that. For the most part there is a block in the back or a hold on basically every play.

but the thread title states"no block in the back on julio's run"
You get boomed and change course to "dude, the refs aren't always"
Give me a fricking break.

I think it was probably a good NO call

Several other calls were just awful

Wow. I don't think I've ever seen someone own someone else using photos that clear and still have them argue against it.

Isaac Newton would argue against it, he was still moving forward, and the other guy was moving in the opposite direction toward Julio. It would be nigh impossible for a player of his size to generate enough momentum going toward the opposite direction to generate any kind of push. It might be impossible for any living person actually.

Even when you see those highlight jump plays in the MLB where the infielder throws to first while going airborn in the opposite direction, the ball they throw is still going in the same direction they are.

You cant generate enough kinetic energy to make a difference otherwise. Its possible, but its not something a human being can do.So basically, he just got into a bad posistion trying to dodge the olineman and whiffed on the tackle, as I simarly said in page 2.

Last time im explaining physics on a forum.

Whether it was a block in the back or not, LSU should have defended that play better.

Alabama was very lucky to win that game.

But they won, so it doesn't matter.

That's because you are looking at it from only that angle. Take off your Crimson glasses!

That's what I'm saying. It doesn't matter.

LSU was very lucky to beat Mississippi State, but it doesn't matter, they won.

Florida was very lucky to beat Arkansas, but we won.

Now if we just can all be lucky enough to see Bama and UF lose
