I don't know if you're being serious or sarcastic

Anyways Toledo is done 87-70 with a little over 2 minutes, RPI going UP

Arkansas is 41 in the Sagarin, 2-3 vs top 25 4-3 vs top 50 SOS 77

Missouri is 66th 2-4 vs top 25 4-4 vs top 50, SOS 64

The Sagarin is also used by the committee, it isn't all about the RPI.

FWIW.

Toledo is likely to get an at-large bid.

Why would that be sarcastic? It seems like there is usually a surprise team that gets in, and I didn't realize your RPI was that high.

I understand but these teams winning will definitely help improve our SOS and overall resume.

Wins today that will improve our RPI, and SOS

UCLA over Arizona PAC 12 tournament champions
Western Michigan over Toledo MAC champions
NCST with close lost to DUKE

I'm not saying we will get IN, but these games will improve our resume and with no sub +150 loses our resume isn't all that bad. If I understand correctly the scoring margin we lose/win games by is 3.40 so we keep games close even in loses. We're 4-2 on neutral courts, and 3-7 in road games. We have two bad loses just outside top 100 RPI in Alabama RPI 125, and Vanderbilt 113 RPI both of which were road games.
I just think people overlook some obvious things about Mizzou's resume which are wins against NCST on the road, Ark on the road, and West Virginia all of which have decent to Quality RPI's. I guess I might just have to pray tonight.

What I'm saying is the RPI isn't the end all be all, that's why I put up the Sagarin.

Also, even if Toledo losing helps Mizzou, them not winning their conference tourney hurts them more because they will get an at large bid.

Not necessarily they have 0 top 50 wins, and much of their RPI was being carried by a 10 point loss to kU. I think they're done. Green Bay however is a deserving team of a bid that is on the bubble

Best wins for Toledo

91 Dec. 21 Cleveland State 71-67
93 Jan. 18 @ Akron 75-61
85 Feb. 12 Ohio 82-76
82 Mar. 1 Western Michigan 96-85
87 Mar. 8 Eastern Michigan 77-66
87 Mar. 14 Eastern Michigan* 59-44

Many projected them to win the MAC championship which is why they were a projected tournament team

Toledo, Green Bay, and LaTech were all teams who needed to win their tourney to prevent and bids from being "stolen".

They all may be left out, one may move in along with Southern Miss.

BYU is going to be evaluated without one of their best players who is out for the tourney so they may fall out.

Lunardi's first four out/last 4 in was updated, only change is BYU falling to last team in, Mizzou hasn't moved up.

Those scores hadn't gone final yet, and some sites have our RPI as high as 35. CBS had us as the first team out yesterday so maybe that changes given these finals

Lunardi updated literally 4 minutes ago, after all those scores went final.

frick Lunardi! He has always been Anti-Mizzou he had us as a 3 seed in tournament 2 years ago. (I know we lost to Norfolk). I'm going to pretend Jerry Palmer's brack is more accurate

Bolded teams out in my opinion with UT being a near lock, it comes down to BYU, Mizzou, and Arkansas, lets hope the gators win tomorrow

BYU
(23-11, 13-5, 2nd WCC ) | RPI/Rank: 0.6009/31 | SOS/Rank: 0.5725/24

BYU logo Opponent's CBSSports.com RPI Rank No. 1-25 No. 26-50 No. 51-100 No. 101-200 No. 201+
W-L Record vs. Ranked Teams 1-5 2-1 5-1 11-4 3-0
Outlook
The Cougars have four pretty bad losses, which is something at-large teams don't usually have. They do have wins over Texas and Stanford also, so that helps, and they played a good non-conference schedule. Kyle Collinsworth's injury will probably not be a factor in selection.

Tennessee
(21-12, 11-7, 4th SEC ) | RPI/Rank: 0.5852/41 | SOS/Rank: 0.5763/20

Tennessee logo Opponent's CBSSports.com RPI Rank No. 1-25 No. 26-50 No. 51-100 No. 101-200 No. 201+
W-L Record vs. Ranked Teams 1-5 2-2 4-1 9-4 4-0
Outlook
Tennessee has been trying to show it belongs by finishing the season with three blowout wins, including the finale against Missouri. The Vols took care of business against South Carolina. Now, they get their shot at the top-ranked Gators.

Providence
(22-11, 10-8, 3rd BIGE ) | RPI/Rank: 0.5805/48 | SOS/Rank: 0.5533/68

Providence logo Opponent's CBSSports.com RPI Rank No. 1-25 No. 26-50 No. 51-100 No. 101-200 No. 201+
W-L Record vs. Ranked Teams 1-5 1-1 5-4 10-1 5-0
Outlook
Providence got smoked by Creighton in Doug McDermott's senior day. The Friars really need a quality win. Unfortunately, they only way to get that is to beat Creighton in the Big East tournament final, which would eliminate any need for an at-large bid.

Missouri
(22-11, 9-9, 6th SEC ) | RPI/Rank: 0.5794/50 | SOS/Rank: 0.5536/65

Missouri logo Opponent's CBSSports.com RPI Rank No. 1-25 No. 26-50 No. 51-100 No. 101-200 No. 201+
W-L Record vs. Ranked Teams 1-3 1-1 5-5 11-2 4-0
Outlook
The Tigers have a good record, but have a lot of their losses outside the top 50 of the RPI. Tennessee made them look silly in their last game before the SEC tournament. Mizzou needed double OT to take care of TAMU, then got smoked by Florida in the SEC tournament.

SMU
(23-9, 12-6, 5th AAC ) | RPI/Rank: 0.5742/52 | SOS/Rank: 0.5207/113

SMU logo Opponent's CBSSports.com RPI Rank No. 1-25 No. 26-50 No. 51-100 No. 101-200 No. 201+
W-L Record vs. Ranked Teams 3-4 1-1 0-1 9-2 10-1
Outlook
The Mustangs took their third bad loss of the season to Houston in the quarterfinals of the American conference tournament. Combine that with just four top 100 RPI wins and a non-conference schedule that ranks near 300th and SMU has given the committee good reason to leave them out.

Arkansas
(21-11, 10-8, 5th SEC ) | RPI/Rank: 0.5591/76 | SOS/Rank: 0.5384/95

Arkansas logo Opponent's CBSSports.com RPI Rank No. 1-25 No. 26-50 No. 51-100 No. 101-200 No. 201+
W-L Record vs. Ranked Teams 2-2 1-3 5-3 6-3 7-0
Outlook
The Hogs have a sweep of Kentucky and a neutral court win over Minnesota, but they took a very ugly loss to Alabama to end the regular season. Arkansas followed that up with another ugly loss to South Carolina.

Mizzou could slip in, but they had more than RPI going against them.

Arkansas' biggest issue is going to be losing 2 straight to end the season. Their last 10-12 record is good, their non con-record is good, but the last 2 is what is hurting them.

It's going to come down to BYU, Arkansas, and Mizzou . If Kentucky wins against Florida tomorrow Arkansas will get the final spot, but if they don't Mizzou could sneak in with the final spot

I really don't think so, because of the perception of the league, that isn't suppose to matter but you can't tell me it doesn't when the big east got like 10 bids a few years ago.

I wouldn't be surprised to see BYU fall out, but I also would be surprised to see teams like Minnesota, Green Bay, LaTech, etc. make it in over both.

What all this is doing is helping both out in the NIT, the only guy who does a brackatology on the NIT had Arkansas as a 3 and Mizzou as 2.

If Providence loses tonight against Creighton they're also likely out 1-6 against top 50 RPI isn't a NCAA tournament resume. Again their resume is being carried by the "strength of the Big East"

That is why they will get in.

Same with Dayton.

Same with 8/10 big12 teams making it.

The numbers don't back many of these teams making it in over a SEC team, but "the SEC is the 7th best conference in basketball".

Basically, the teams that finished at the bottom of the league need to improve, a third place finisher in the conference can't have a derp fest in November-December going 6-6 with a who's who of bad losses to improve the perception of the conference.
