If who ever said that is correct, that would be the only reason I could think of why it would make any difference, so therefore the only real help left is the 2 wins over UK and that if OM wins we have only wins over that half of the bracket (3-0) but then only losses against the other side (0-2)

I haven't been keeping up with the RPI, so I'm not sure where OM is at, if they are above 100, a win bumping them below 100 while UGA stays below 100 would certainly help Arkansas' resume.

BTW: Colorado was blown out by Arizona, and Xavier is being destroyed by Creighton, Texas is being blown out by Baylor, SDSU took down UNLV, and George Washington beat UMASS comfortably.

The SEC has had more competitive tight games consistently each round than the other conferences, but that is because we all suck, apparently.

UC-Irvine stakes their claim to the NIT.

It isn't as bad as it is made out to be.

Some other conferences are not as good as they are claimed to be.

Color me pure homer then because I don't think SEC BB is that bad at all. Which conferences are BETTER? ACC? Oh...the one whose best team got azzwhipped by UT? Big Ten? Please...they are no better than the SEC. Big 12? Who? Pac Man 12? Arizona Tea has had stinkers and other than them....who the hell out there is that good?
Yeah..I know there are a lot of small conferences that play great BB...but I think the SEC deserves some of that NCAA apple pie.

I'm not sure that LaTech will get an at-large bid, but they will for sure have a spot in the NIT.

16th No1 seed to fail to win their conference tourney so far, 14 of those look like auto-bids to the NIT. Half the NIT being taken up by auto-bids combined with half-2 taking up the NCAA bids means there will only be 50 at large bids between both tournaments.

What do you think we need Dale?

We certainly don't want UGA to beat UK and some how upset UF tomorrow.

Baylor and Iowa State will not make a difference.

Florida
Kentucky
Tennessee

These are the only SEC teams going to the big dance this year.

Arkansas and Mizzou to the NIT. It is what it is at this point.

As far as the NCAAs, probably Toledo to beat WMU, WMU would get the NIT bid and Toledo wouldn't "steal a bid", huh? Toledo could be an at large, WMU not so much.

Really, the only question at this point is how many NIT bids the SEC gets, if the NCAAs sends four bids to the SEC it will be Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas in that order. If only three, all but Arkansas.

Arkansas and Mizzou would be locks for the NIT, the question is if UGA, LSU, and Ole Miss receive bids, again in that order.

Realistically, Ole Miss' season is done, LSU and UGA are going to be sweating it out for the NIT.

I'll be mad if Nebraska does get a bid. 6-14 against top 50. 2-7 against top 25 RPI. Their best win OOC was UGA at home.

Only 3 road wins. 11 of their 19 wins are teams 101+

Nebraska's win on the road at Michigan State stands out, but they also had a five game losing streak during the season and their only other good wins were both at home against Ohio State and Wisconsin. Not an incredible resume.

That win over MSU was while State was missing their top scorer.

Yeah, Arkansas' win over Kentucky is more impressive than beating Mich. State then.

LaTech could also steal an at large bid, they played 3 games all year, was blown out by Louisville and OkSt. and beat OU. But, they look to be that mid-major team where the committee doesn't hold their schedule against them while hammering a power conference school for playing the same opponents OOC (ULL, USA, etc). Really needed them to beat Tulsa today.
