The last time he was at the house he got shite faced and left half a handle of JD after he passed out. It was taken care of with a quickness.

Also, as far as the same old, tired, local acts go, I'm a Velcro Pygmies fan. Never been to somewhere they were playing and didn't have a good time, even if it was the same bar songs I've heard 1,000 times. Plus they literally paid for our stage in the party barn which was pretty cool of them years back.

I've seen the Pygmies enough to where I'm not gonna go out of my way to see them

I can agree with that to a degree. It is the same old act every single time. But they've been good to us and me, so I have a little bit of a soft spot for them. Not to mention them giving the to Skybar. I respect them for that as well.

Do it.

Those are the best kind of shirts. I have a ton like that with movie/TV/gaming references. And I love it when people "get" them. It's like a cool secret handshake. Hahahha

I was smoking a cig with one of their crew guys a while back and he was talking about how messed up Sky is in how they will only pay bands to play if they promise not to play anywhere else in Auburn. I've heard others say the same thing. Is that true in your experience?

For a lot of the larger and rotating acts, yes.

Acoustic folks, for some yes, for others no.

It's weird. But when Dan's the booker, what do you expect?

Most of the younger members of my family despise Skybar. It's ok to me on certain nights with the right group, but as a nightly thing it kind of sucks.

Sweet Jesus they must have played Auburn three times a week every week for the first two months of school this year. They aren't that good, and IDGAF if the lead singer is hot. I'm there to hook up with a dumb sorostitute, not the lead singer of a band.

There are always a lot of try-hard, wannabe frat guys there trying to show how drunk they can get.

I prefer 17 myself. More laid back and doesn't get crowded to the point of being a pain in the arse.

I haven't been to see a show like pygmies or fly by in two years at least. Hadn't missed a close by isbell, doc, or shakes show though.

In Auburn we don't pull solid musicians on a consistent basis. And it seems like every time we do I'm not able to attend for one reason or another.

I'm young and I do too normally. Which is why I have to take the magic A pill on nights I need to be active and dance.
