What will it cost for Saban to get out of his contract with Alabama?

Nothing. Well the 4 million + a year his contract pays, but there's no buyout.

You don't know the answer to this...and we're supposed to seriously ponder any theories you come up with on his future? Seriously??

Question:

What if Notre Dame literally offered him a blank check? What if he put down $9 million? He would be a fool to turn that kind of cash down.

That being said, Saban will still be at Bama for some time imo

I am not trying to see if I can afford it, I am just wondering what is would cost.

Bama could and would match any offer. Even one from Notre Dame. Those who think other wise are stupid.

There is no buyout in his clause. Don't you wish you had the same thing in place for Miles? For the shortsighted and simplistic, such as yourself, you see no buyout as proof positive that he is going to leave. However, there are factors in play that you struggle with understanding. Those include political capital. Saban is a smart guy, and he realizes that after the nation-wide media beat down he took for coming to UA, he doesn't have the political capital to make another jump. Any semblance of credibility he regained at UA would simply vanish. Saban is obsessed with TQM, which is why he uses verbage like "process". He knows that more than just a monetary figure is in play. It may be a difficult concept for you to harness, but that isn't shocking. Any fanbase that would think a fourth down gambler, who backslid into a 2 loss NC, somehow is going to continue to win long term..well, I don't doubt complex concepts such as this would escape your grasp.

As much as it takes and don't think for one second that Notre Dame doesn't have it. :rotflmao:

If Saban were to leave BAMA, we are still Alabama.

Less than it costs LSU to get out of a contract with a dumb arse.

I really don't think the University of Alabama has the kind of change lying around that the University of Notre Dame does. That's a bit of a stretch. Notre Dame has been accumulating money via the Catholic Church for the last 2000 years. I don't think Alabama could touch what Notre Dame could dish.
