That's what CFB is missing. I'm not ragging on AU for the stuff. Hell, every school sells bullshite like that...INCLUDING UA. I'm not passing judgment at all. It is foolish to act like you're "special" though, and that goes for UA as well. UA has been fortunate to have a great history, and times are good now as well. Is UA somehow "special". frick no. Every individual who garnered a sheepskin has a special attactment to that particular school..but at the end of the day, it is what it is. We're all SEC schools. We play big boy football. We sell shite to 18 year olds to make them sign.

Oh, and diddy/alahunter.

I don't give a shite as long as they are eligible to play while they're at Auburn. They can kiss my arse once they're no longer eligible though.

I mean to add the quote about family being just the FB team.

I have seen an AU commercial that has the family thing all about the university and alum etc. It is more then just FB when AU does the family thing. It appears to be a school slogan to sell the entire experience.

The recruiting road has to make coaches feel like pimps sometimes.

Now, I know this may be difficult for you to hear, but it is the truth. AU isn't special. Their snake oil is packages that way, but all teams are close (family). AU doesn't hold a monopoly on that, no matter what the recruiting pitch is..just the same as UA isn't the only team with a "business" approach.

You keep screaming this but have you spent a nanosecond around the football team to know it's no different from other teams?

You probably haven't spent a nanosecond around Bama or Auburn's team, but you know enough to say there's no difference?

You're a message boarder and the closest you've probably been to Bama's team is the "A" in your avatar.

I never claimed "family" isn't a recruiting pitch. I also think there's some validity to it.

Can't tell you how many times I've seen recruits leave AU and say "other teams say they're a family, but it's different at AU"

Recruits have even pointed out how at Bama you have to get an appointment to see Saban but at AU you can go see Chiz at anytime.

Corey Grant, member of both Auburn and Bama's team even says there's a major difference.

Yeah, I know. I should listen to you, the person who haven't spent a moment around any of the teams while I ignore the people who have seen both.

Rolando McClain, Nick Fairley, and JaMarcus Russell have all made some very stupid decisions as of late, and it's pretty crazy considering they are all from the Mobile area. All had superior talent, money, fame, and have decided that they want to throw it down the drain. McClain and Fairley still have a chance to redeem themselves at this point, but not Russell.

How many times was Russell arrested?
