ETA: who has bama beaten that makes them more deserving than Baylor or mich st. Both those teams have better wins than bama.


All of this makes sense until you look at the foundation of the rankings. OSU finally played a legit team and lost. Who is to say LSU wouldn't stomp OSU?

I understand what you're saying within the confines of how the game is set up, but it's always going to be questionable in a system that ranks shitty teams like Illinois and Northwestern at the beginning of each year to prop up the legitimacy of the top of a weak conference.

I do like winning your conference rules, as it makes the objective clear for everyone, but you'll still have 3-4 teams in a conference better than the #1 in another conference on a yearly basis.
