Hot Pink, huh? How politically fashionable!!

They ever attempt to introduce this stuff down here in Dixie, they'll be a Biblical outcry, and " Hell NO" signs in
Abundance..

Every time I turn on NFL, every player and coach to ball boy has on pink every year. Is it usually in October?

Oregon is the fashion diva...for sure!

The young folks like it. I even think much of their stuff looks cool!

Why does everyone have to have such strong opinions on this issue?

I didn't really care until it became such an obsession with my kid's sports teams. The novelty has worn off and seeing game after game with pink socks and a pink stripe on their helmet is just lame. It's moved from a nice thing to do to an obligation and a competition for who can be the most pink.

I just think this new trend of marketing pink football gear and seeing Nike sell so much more merchandise behind the guise of Breast Cancer Awareness has gone too far.

The Quack Attack is Nike's marketing tool so they will do a tie in with whatever generates publicity.

Their weekly choice of uniforms generates media attention AND is an effective recruiting tool.

It works and "Too Far" isn't in their vocabulary.

I just dont understand why it is always about breast cancer. I agree it is horrible but Football is a mans sport and plenty of men get cancer. I would like to see some dedication to that also besides just breast cancer.

It's got very little to do with Breast cancer awareness. The Susan G Komen foundation is full of lawyers who will squash any other attempt to raise money for breat cancer and will sue the shite out of any organization that refuses to further their platform. It has gotten ridiculously out of hand but who in their right mind would fight them on it. They would trash your organization in the media and turn public sentiment against you.
The SGK foundation has interfered often times in research and fund raising for the simple fact that they aren't controlling it. Most doctors and research equivalents will tell you off the record that they are a huge hindrance to researching the cure

Why all the bitching? There is no such thing as too much awareness of titties. I saw nipples all over town this past Sunday (no bra day). Lucky for me the movement is most popular amongst young, supple girls.

Anything to raise awareness to breast cancer is fine by me ... so long as it leads to more money for research.

Female breasts are precious things.

I was bitching at my wife a couple of Sundays back because the NFL was using pink for both players towels and penalty flags. Every time I saw a towel on the ground I thought that there was a penalty. It turns out that the NFL is keeping 90% of the money for all of the pink crap they're selling and a whopping 10% is going to "the cause." A perfect measure of where we are right now as a culture.

Unless you've lived alone in a fricking cave your entire life, everyone already knows about breast cancer, prostate cancer, and every other cause that there's a color or a ribbon for.

God this shite is old and tired.
