I'm sorry, man, but that's not going to work. I lived in the godawful city known as "Phenix City" for all of my life and I can tell you that entire region is a dump and Columbus is the only thing that area has going for it, and it's laughable in itself.
There's absolutely nothing to do in Auburn (unless you're going to a frat party), and Phenix City is even worse (at least there's student parties in Auburn).
Columbus is a major shite-hole in itself. It's like a broader version of Opelika.
I was raised in that area and it's quite disturbing/depressing which was the primary reason I chose to get out and I'll NEVER move back to that wasteland again, unless I'm planning on committing suicide or something.
