So stupid.

More doctors died in the United States last year alone due to occupational hazards (Disease from exposure, needle sticks, etc.) than all documented college and professional sports related deaths in American history. For every retired playd with serious cognitive problems, there are 500 without any.

This is just another example of our modern media culture vastly overreacting to something that has always been around but we're just now paying attention to it because a couple guys went and blew their brains out after retirement.

Additionally, who defines targeting? How can they regularly judge intent? Half the targeting flags are BS as it is.

Anytime a player gets hit violently above the waist and doesnt see it coming they throw a flag. They dont for one damn second think about intent or circumstance. They see a big hit an throw the flag.

Well, they define it as an intentional hit to a defenseless player above the shoulders. But hits are always intentional in football - so they're depending on the refs to decide whether it was intentional in a legal or illegal way? I just think it's going to be very hard to enforce.
