Garrett could be a great OC .
Rather try him than most who have been mentioned.

A.I. is the new play caller at Bama since no one wants the job. Although, I can see that happening someday.

I wonder how the guy they end up hiring will feel about being the 5th or 6th choice.

nobody knows shat...5th 6th choice all speculation from lazy azz reporters

You’ve had only one candidate that has even been confirmed by the media. How would we know how far down any list a eventual hire is?
Both coordinator searches have been tight lipped. No one knows shite.

I'm trying to figure this out. Saban flew Grubb and his family out to Alabama to interview for a job but tells him we've got other candidates to interview and we'll get back with you soon.
Grubb then tells Washington he's staying.
I mean if the University of Alabama were in Orlando and he thought "free trip to Disney World", I could see it.
Just seems like he liked where he was at better.
I'll say this, if you're already in a good spot to perhaps get a HC job, probably better to stay put than go to Tuscaloosa.
BOB, at least from a statistical standpoint, was still in the elite tier of OCs.
The fanbase is gonna expect you to come in with a lesser QB who has little experience or almost none and be a better offense than the last two years immediately. There is pretty close to a 50/50 chance that the OC is actually better than BOB and the offense is worse this season. Would be logical that such could happen. How would that sit with the folk sitting in the seats in B-D Stadium?

Maybe Saban wanted a longer term commitment than just the next 10 months. Grubb seems to be a guy itching to a head coach as soon as possible. Washington has bumped his salary twice since November just to keep him around for another year. My guess is he’s a head coach somewhere by next January.
Regardless, no one will likely know what transpired.
