So Arkansas probably just got away with an amazing no call. A ball hit in the air landed at the base of the wall wedging into the padding, but still in view. Do you call it a 2 R ground rule double, or let it be a 3 run HR?

Ground rule double if it was wedged and the fielder threw his hands up when it didn't come out.

Did the outfielder try and play the ball? If he did the umps let the play run, at least that’s what he’s happened in past games for LSU.

They ran up to it probably about 3 seconds passed before they threw their hands up. The CF and LF both moved to with 5 yards of the ball and threw their hands up.

It’s an umpires judgement if the ball is playable or not, regardless if the players throw their hands up.

Did the outfielder attempt to grab the ball and make a play? If not, ground rule double. If he did, it's all you can get as a runner.
