The committee better take into account strength of schedule which they promised to do before conferences went to 9 conference games. Maybe that will make Notre Dame strengthen their schedule or join a conference if being consistently left out.

No because a 10-2 team with a better resume and much tougher schedule should be ranked higher than Notre Dame at 11-1 after 12 games. Going undefeated should be the only way to guarantee a playoff spot with that pitiful schedule.

They are almost guaranteed 0-1 losses.
