Stanford wins 4-3.
Sanchez went from up 6-0, 2-0 to losing the 2nd set 2-6 and the third set 0-6.
Stancu went from 2-0 to 2-6 in the final set.
Mike Sherman must have visited the team before the game.

So fricking close!.
Those women can be proud of the season though. NO ONE thought they would be this good.
Congrats to Stanford, though. They gutted it out. I think they've won this something like 18 times now.

Agreed, but that's the worst way possible to lose: To basically trip right at the finish line and finish second.
Not sure if you can say Stanford "gutted it out". They were up 3-0 and all of a sudden 3-3.

I guess I really meant the whole tourney. They had to beat #3 UGA, #1 Florida and then #3 A&M. I see your point though.
Of course, they have the program history so their women are used to this level of competition. This was A&M's first trip past the Sweet 16 in program history.

I think that the ladies will need some serious consoling after what happened. I'm sure they'll find plenty of volunteers.
