He has a lot of little man energy. He showed it in the regionals where he felt the need to put Sully on blast publicly in a press conference for some shite that happened before a game. You notice Jay didn't comment at all on the incident yesterday after the game even when asked a direct question about it. Coastal HC still has a lot to learn about how to conduct himself. He's obviously a good coach but he has to be more self-aware. When an ump gives you a warning, you don't press the issue regardless of how wrong you think he is. If you do, getting ejected shouldn't be surprising. Jay has earned every ejection he's had, and Coastal's coach earned it yesterday

Tarnished.... Wouldn't have been without a drama queen UMP making it about him. LSU wins eitherway but a terrible way to decide a championship

We will always have the first actual SEC National Championship in baseball. Otherwise, for no hearder than we try, we have done well overall in baseball ....

which was after the ejection that I don't think needed to happen.... CC coach was being too much but didn’t really cross the line until he was tossed. To be clear I think he 1000% should have conducted himself better, but I don't think you toss a guy for saying "you missed 3" in a championship game.

You are partially correct, in that very few coaches/managers have been tossed i the first inning. But your reasoning is flawed. Very few managers are ejected in the first inning because almost all of them are not dumb enough to ever put themselves in a position to be tossed in the first inning. You just don’t do it. His attitude was clear explanation as to why the players on the CCU team were so chippy in both games. It almost looked as if he was trying to get tossed. And the first base coach??? What the heck was he thinking???
