I could see a middle inning but first inning is on the ump. All that was said was that's 3 before the ump escalated. He should be banned from calling NCAA post season.

even as an LSU fan who enjoyed the advantage I agree...
Coastal coach was being a douche, but it's the potentially deciding championship game 2....I really think a coach should have to damn near throw a punch or spit at an ump to get tossed.
As an ump at this level you should be able to control the game without going nuclear.

how dare he get mad just because the coach stopped game play by not leaving the field after 4 requests.
how many did you want? 5? 10? 25?
what's your threshold because it sure sounds like you're arguing the coach should be allowed to stop game play as long as he wanted to park his arse on the playing field.

a warning had already been issued for arguing balls and strikes. HC comes out and says for what. Ump tells him to go back to the dugout. Coach continues to argue and argues balls and strikes some more. Everyone, including the manager, knows arguing balls and strikes is not permitted, much less after a warning had already been issued
There was no reason for their coaches to be so hot so early in the game if you want to talk about a situation escalating early in the game

an ump ended up on his arse due to the escalation by these bush league coaches.
i'm old enough to remember when LSU was beating IU in the elite 8 and bobby knight runs over to the scorer's table and beats the table with both hands so hard a phone falls on the floor and doesn't get ejected.
IU goes on to handily win the game.

How?
The coach wouldn't shut up or leave the field.
They gave him plenty of leeway, leaving the dugout after a warning is usually an automatic ejection.
This clown got multiple warnings THEN left the dugout, got more warnings then was finally ejected. And he wouldn't even leave the field once he had been tossed.

Agree with you. LSU was the better team and was going to win the series. Bush league umpire with thin skin.
