How do you know? Have you talked to them?

No kidding, they never proved WHERE the money went. They couldn't do it, no matter how hard they tried. But they nailed us anyway. Keep believing its over, that'll make it so much better if the ncaa grows a pair and acts.
They should all just enjoy their team's accomplishments and stay the hell off these message boards, stay away from any news articles, etc.
To ALL AU FANS -

I will say that the people who are in position to know what is going on are not worried. Most think that the investigation is over. Auburn did a lot of the NCAA's work on the investigation and the NCAA accepted their report after they they checked the sources.
is the FBI done poking around?
oh, and fwiw, i think you and the rest of the Auburn family are scared shitless.

Accepted it so much, they continue to investigate. Of course Au is going to say Cam didn't know. Chiz said it was garbage and Cecil was good family, only days later to regret that. Cecil said he didn't do it, only days later to admit it. Cam has said he bought the laptop, only months later to see the police report have him telling his buddy.. I saw it, I took it. Cecil, Cam and Auburn has been caught in lies from the get go.

Then why the hell did the NCAA think it was necessary to question two of Cecil's contractor's in late December?

And to go on to publically distance Cecil Newton from Auburn University. Jacobs even said Cecil Newton would not be attending the BCSNCG - But somebody took some pics of Cam hugging his dad after the game.

I think to be prudent, one might not take the word from the entity being investigated to determine the intentions of the investigating body. More valuable information would come from people who are on the investigating side of the situation.

People in the know in auburn said dye paying players was bullshite too. How'd that work out for y'all?
Posted on 1/12/11 at 2:17 pm to RT1941
I will also say the SEC Office has monitored the investigation closely, there are a lot of reputations on the line with this case.

Don't understand why people just don't believe the Newtons. It's not like Cecil is an admitted liar or anything :sarcasm:

The SEC office did a fine job in the off season. Why again were they pissed at Miss St?

For real. Common sense, really. But apparently many people lack even that. Would you believe a convicted rapist that he was innocent based solely on his word? No.

You are clearly the oracle of profound nothingness.
Posted on 1/12/11 at 2:21 pm to Alahunter
The SEC office was pissed because they chose to make this public. Again Slive wants to protect the image of the SEC and did not like the idea of someone within the MS AD going around the process.
Posted on 1/12/11 at 2:22 pm to Irons Puppet
So you know people in the SEC office now too?
Posted on 1/12/11 at 2:23 pm to Irons Puppet
Slive didn't investigate. His goal is to have zero schools on probation or in trouble. Not to mention the huge bonus he gets to have an SEC team in the NC.

I love how this guy is using stuff he heard on Finebaum as his means of knowing the inside scoop of what everyone in the SEC offices and the NCAA are thinking.
It would better his argument if he said "I heard on Finebaum" at the beginning of each of his posts, instead of passing it off as his own thoughts and information.

No shite!
Whether you like it or not Cameron Newton is the face of your program right now - stinky ole skelton's and ALL.
And, with Cam & Cecil's reputation I'd be a little nervous if I were you.

As I said earlier.. he was one of the main rumor mongerers of the op red dog on itat. He's dishing out spin for damage control here, nothing more.. nothing less.
