Amherst Regional report:

(Top 5 advance)

SEC teams playing: OU, Vandy, Tenn, Ark, LSU

Playing final round this morning.

OU and Tenn tied for the lead at -4 on the back 9

Vandy in 3rd at -2 on the back 9

Arky is currently in the last transfer spot at 5th at +9 midway. They are 2 shots ahead of Arizona at +11

LSU, who I had completely written off, is making a run and is currently 4 shots (+13) behind Arkansas for the last transfer spot and they are all still on the front 9.

This one may get interesting.

Amherst: Oklahoma, Tennessee, Vanderbilt look safe to advance. LSU has a chance. They are in 6th, 2 strokes back of Arizona.

Reno: Texas and Mississippi State look safe, barring a collapse. Alabama is out, 16 strokes behind the cut line.

Auburn: Auburn tore up their home course and currently leads by 23 strokes. A&M is second, but not in the lock category yet, as six teams are within 9 strokes in the 2nd-7th.

Tallahassee: Ole Miss looks safe to advance. So does Georgia.

Bremerton: Florida is in first and is safely in. South Carolina is in third and looks pretty safe.

Basically, Alabama is the only team definitely out and LSU is fighting. Good job, SEC.

Still a bunch of teams, including Arky and LSU, in the mix for the last spot at Amherst.

Amherst Regional is wild. In the last 30 minutes, Arkansas, Arizona, Pepperdine, and now Stanford have all held the last transfer spot.

Arkansas eliminated. LSU needs a huge finish after losing 3 shots in 2 holes.

The double bogey by Bondesson (LSU) on the short par 4, 5th hole was a killer. (LSU is finishing on the front 9)

It's not over. LSU just picked up 3 birdies to get back within 2. They are running out of holes though.

Svienson has 7, 8, and 9
Bondesson has 8, and 9
Dodd-Berry has 9

Pepperdine just had their #1 guy birdie the last hole for a 65 and put them in at +9. Going to take something special from LSU to get in there now.

Check that, Kleen still has hole 9, Dodd-Berry has the high score and doesn't count, sorry.

And Dodd-Berry birdied the 9th.

Meanwhile, AU's high scorer that doesn't count is even par today and 5th in the regional for the week.

Yep that killed them. Pepperdine is finished at +9 even though it shows them still on the course.

Can you explain to me how the teams and individuals works in this? Can an individual win the Championship?
