For a good while that legit was a "No Rain Rain Delay". They decided to delay based off the forecast of thunderstorms which is damn stupid, if you're in Florida and it's June, there's a threat of storms everyday.

Can't wait for the Arkansas game. We'll probably get destroyed but the atmosphere should be insane

Lightning strikes delayed the game.

Not at first for very close to 2 hours but then predictably, thunderstorms began. Like it always does in Florida in the summer.

I guess maybe they wanted to avoid a possible long, loooonnnngggggg, delay after starting but still.

At least unlike with the other case I've seen, I saw Florida fans trashing the decision and Florida's predictable summer weather eventually did occur. In the other case, I don't think their fans cared.

Florida has nothing to do with the delay.

I know they didn't, just don't really understand personally delaying for "approaching weather" with whoever decided to.

Lightning is dangerous but it was 2 hours before it became dangerous or damn close.

The weather is nice here. Hot and muggy tho. I’ve been outside almost all day. Never saw or heard any lightning. But… I can’t say it didn’t happen.

A great question for the tournament officials.

Only UF would delay something with it being 93 and sunny in Gainesville right now. 15 Percent chance of rain.

LJ Talley with a 2 out run scoring double in the bottom of the second. He advanced to third on the throw and scored on an error because the ball went into the dugout. UGA up 2-0.

Arkansas and USC would be a tremendous game.

A great, but flawed, Arkansas against a team from USC that really struggled to just make it to the big dance but has shined under the spotlight.

You have a team loaded with talent that should be in contention to win it all against a team that has taken its share of bad breaks but its getting hot when it matters.

My main regret is that this isn't the CWS winner take all game.

Like road said, it wasn't on UF, it was a pretty strange decision by the tournament officials. Eventually they did have Florida's typical summer weather but it took almost 2 hours before then.
