football has gone from strategic plays to gimmicks and . . . substituting between plays has been allowed to be dictated by the offense.

rather than address that add a rule that lacks foresight.


I agree, the NCAA makes up rules in reaction to coaches doing what coaches do in the modern era which is taking advantage any way they can.

This is due to the pressure coaches are under today to win at all costs ASAP and given the money involved it is no wonder this has become the mindset.

It almost seems as if the entire game at all levels needs to go on hiatus for season and the whole thing needs to be rebuilt from the ground up.

I was one of those who cheered when OU and Georgia won their case to wrest control of televising rights from the NCAA which IMO is when most of what we consider the slide towards where we are now began.

Now I wonder if the game should be forced to stop and take a huge step back with everything on the table and completely revamp things to make college football a true competitive sport that all schools can afford.

You have to make them sit out the drive as well.

If play is halted because of an injury the injured player must sit out a the rest of the current drive and a minimum of 5 plays on that side of the ball.

That solves the problem.
