I also liked Keith Jackson, but wasn't he primarily a West coast guy most of his career?

Beano I liked, but only in small doses. I really enjoy listening to McDonough, but was never crazy about Blackledge.

The one person I'm shocked hasn't been mentioned is Herbstreit. I think he does a good job and really does his homework before each game and is able to break down a particular play in a number of ways. He's often able to identify a blitz coming or a play the offense may run based on the personnel in the game. He's really good at what he does.

Keith and Frank Broyles back in the day.

I did like Tessitore for a bit until he fell in love with his exclamations a la Chris Berman (back back back).

1. Keith Jackson + Frank Broyles
2. Ron Franklin + Mike Gottfried

Those 2 duos are the best to have ever called a college football game.
