Yeah, I remember him and reggie mcneal started the "head strong" trend for athletic qb's refusing to switch positions in college in order to be productive. His success story at West Virginia only added full to the fire for guys like John Chiles and now Russell Shepard to think they had a legit shot at making it as qb only to be switched later down the road.

I'm just glad Bob Stoops didn't offer Felix. Could you imagine AD and Felix the cat running the ball for them? Jesus Christ, (although I imagine it had to suck trying to stop dmac, felix, and hillis
)
Just wish Matt Jones was born a little bit later. That wildcat with those 4 wouldn't have been stopped for less than 10 yards.

As soon as I read this thread, Javier Arenas immediately came to mind.

Mathieu!
Does not qualify as an under the radar recruit (at least not mine definition of one).
Mathieu was a nobody 2 star athlete that went to the Tennessee Football Camp and blew it up. Everybody was talking about him and writing up articles about his performance there. Tennessee offered him on the spot. A week later he went to the LSU camp and was clearly the best cover corner at the camp and everyone was raving about him. Miles offered him on the spot and Mathieu accepted. Right after LSU offered and he accepted, Matheiu started getting flooded with other big-time offers.
At the end of the summer when Rivals and Scout update their ratings after the summer camps, he jumped from a 2 star to 4 star prospect.
He climbed the charts of the LA State Top prospects too. All this before he played a down of his SR high school football season.
By the time he entered LSU, everyone had heard of him and he was considered a top prospect. He was the first freshman to have playing time out of that class for LSU and played in every single game his true freshman year.
Under radar kids are kids that are, at the most a 3 star, that got hardly any offers from other top schools and once they hit campus started blowing it up. That definitely is not Mathieu's story.
