The face mask was missed but one of the replays showed that while his hand was on the mask the GA players head was turned from the ref. Then his hand slipped to his shoulder pad before it got in view of ref. I think that’s why he didn’t call it cause a shoulder pad tackle looks same sometimes

yet everybody else saw it...and the SI cover doesn't show a firm grasp of Tuga's facemask though video might.

Just saying he probably didn’t see it. Other refs are watching what they’re assigned to do. Everybody else seeing it doesn’t matter.
