1. LSU- Two big wins on the resume. Faced a very good defense and still looked unstoppable. Looking like a shootout in Tuscaloosa.

2. Bama- If they had at least one big win, I'd probably put them no. 1. Their offense is as lethal if not moreso than LSU and they've looked better on defense overall. But just haven't seen them play a good team yet.

3. Auburn- Okay. I know some are gonna say this is bias. But just know I hate both schools and considered putting UF here. But Auburn really hasn't had a struggle win (team they barely beat that they should handle easily) and they still have that Oregon victory which looks pretty good right now. And the UF game was close enough with such poor play offensively on both sides, I could easily see it flipping at JH.

4. Florida- The LSU game went as I suspected in terms of differential, but I did think it'd be more of a 31-17 affair. So their offense looked better than I would've thought and I also thought they'd slow own LSU's offense more than they did. Shocked that Burrow looked like he was throwing 7 on 7 all game. There is a good argument for UF to be number 3 at this point. I'm looking at overall schedules and results.

5. Georgia- Not really much to say other than everything that could go wrong did in that game. Still, there were multiple chances to get the win and UGA did not. The great teams don't let teams like SC get away with that. All that aside, I'm guessing winning pct. with -4 on the turnover side are pretty low. And two of those were completely on UGA (fumbled snap, tipped ball that should've clearly been a catch).

6. Missouri- Slipped back a little for me as I expected a little more domination Saturday. But still look like a quality team that should be in the thick of the East race.

7. South Carolina- Huge win that now gives them a decent chance of being bowl eligible. I don't expect them to win Saturday and may end up getting trounced. Hard to get your head back on straight after that kind of game. But A&M certainly looks winnable now, they still have one cupcake, Vandy seems a given and UTK is at least 50/50.

8. Texas A&M- Even with the tough schedule, this team has to be considered a disappointment.

9. Ole Miss- They're playing much better with Plumlee.

10. MSU- Joe is no Dan.

11. UT- Could make an argument to move them up to 9 here. Looking better, much better, the last two weeks.

12.Kentucky- They have a conference win.

13. Arkansas- They almost have a conference win.

14. Vandy- They haven't been close to getting a conference win.

Good list. Auburn is going to have to find a guy to replace Whitlow to have a chance in their big games down the stretch, though.

I don't think he's on the same plain as some of their recent backs. May be a little easier to replace. Florida has a better chance of staying where they are or passing Auburn than Auburn does of staying where they are due to scheduling.

I agree with most of your list, and I'm def no Gator fan, but you have to put UF above AU. AU may have that Oregon win, but UF won the head-to-head straight up.

To not have Florida above auburn is ridiculous... they literally played head to head last week. Why fricking play the games?

I addressed that and said if you want to make that your barometer it's a good argument. I don't really know that there is anything to add.

I mean, it's your list, but there's no objective reason to put AU above UF at this point. And you're right, that does read as very biased.

You do realize that UT beat MSU on the field 2 days ago?

Lists work better if you actually watch the games.

I did. All of them. And it's the same reason why NC wouldn't have been ranked above Clemson had they beaten them.

No. The reason I justify UGA above SC is that we've lost one game and beaten a top ten team.

SC has lost three games and beaten a top ten team, (well, if I did a top ten they wouldn't have because UGA would not be in my top ten) the way USC lost to Mizzou is as bad as UGA's loss to USC. And they have two other losses to boot.

So, you believe when one team beats another , that automatically makes that team better?

That kind of thinking has been proven false....time and time again.

Do you think A&M should have been ranked higher than LSU last year?

We’ve played 2 top 10 teams and rank 25th in total defense. Bama played “top 25” 3-2 A&M and is ranked 36th on defense.

Do you agree that Notre Dame should be ranked ahead Florida and Georgia?

If you don't, then why the frick did you put Auburn ahead of Florida?

I have Georgia, Florida, and Mizzou above Auburn. Tennessee beat MSU so logic puts them above them
