is that Lafell drops more passes than any big time reciever I have seen this year. (Julio is a close second.)Seems like he dropped 5 easy passes sat and he as a bad case of gator arms across the middle.

My observation is that LSU needs to fire the entire coaching staff.

A little off topic, but you hit on it some.

Julio has quite a few drops this year. I still think his wrist is hurting him.

I would agree with this.

Although you won't see me complain if you don't.

If LSU fired Miles they would have to pay a lot of money to him. Miles will be owed the remaining terms of his contract if he is fired without cause. That's $3.75M/year for 4 years (2010-2014 since he got an extension as of the 8th win this season against LaTech). That means his buyout will be ~$15M

Trust me, it will cost LSU more to keep him.

He dropped a lot of passes as a sophomore, but the last two years he has been very good. Last Saturday was a bad game for him for sure, but I don't think it has been a season long problem.

For some reason I would have to believe now that LSU has been on top and knows what that can do for the University. Their pockets are very deep and will do whatever possible to get back.

You may be right . I have not watched LSU but 3 or 4 times but Saturday was the worse case of drops I can remember in a long time. And I actually felt sorry for JJ. he was getting hammered and would make a great throw for nothing because Lafell was scared of taking a hit.

When the whole defense is designed for containing that one player, I can live with some of the drops. LaFell and Jones have been targeted all year and no one on LSU or Bama have stepped up to be that guy to take the heat off.

When your drawing double coverage and your worried about that safety coming take your head off there's not a receiver in the country that would not drop similar passes. It also happens to be that in the SEC you pay the price like in the NFL because the defenses are so athletic unlike other conferences.

Thats ridiculous. Lafell and Toliver have very similar stats. Lafell is not being constantly double teamed, and there is no excuse in him dropping those balls. Mistakes happen but they just happened too frequently vs Ole Miss.
