No, just dont respond to him. Its not like theres a gun to your head. For Duke to come on here and tell you to STFU, you must really be dragging it out

Well I normally don't talk meaningless shite unless someone else starts it but I'll stay away from the Bama fans, I guess they are above our level.

I went a little overboard with a Bama troller and other Ole Miss fans told me to stop. I was just trying to pass the time while I was reading Voltaire for English.

Seriously Duke, I didn't mean to be an arse, I'll leave it alone.

Don't worry about the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

As Mississippi State fans, we dont have as high of expectations as other SEC schools. Dan Mullen has fulfilled ALL of our expectations on the field over the past two years. He has put out a competative team out there and has won football games. He took us to a bowl game (and won it handedly), and also has defeated his in State rival two years in a row.

His expectations this year are simple, winning season, bowl game, win the Egg Bowl, and compete for the SEC West.

Honestly.. MSU doesn't really have a lot of drop off this year. The real question is can the defensive Co take the place of Manny and do a BETTER job! MSU's defense was much improved, but has a long way to go if they want to compete for a SECw title.

it was the offense that wasn't up to par, against LSU, Bama's, Aub... Not the defense... Toward end of the year offense got much better, Ark.. ect..

It played really well against teams like OM, Arky, Michigan, etc...
Notice that there is one thing that all of these teams had in common...

The '08 OM team looked really good too at the end of the year beating up terrible defenses like LSU, State and TT...
Just saying.

And the '09 Ole Miss team won 9 games just like the '08 team did.

Just Saying

We will be fine this year.

That team was really good though. There was a ton of rust early because the players and coaches were both still getting used to their new situation, but there was enough talent on that team to compete for the SEC title. I mean it. The only "legit" loss we had (where the other team was just simply better) was Bama, and we played a great game against them. The Vandy and SC losses were Ole Miss shooting itself in the foot with interceptions and fumbles. That squad could score in bunches and there were playmakers all over that defense. It's not a surprise to me that something like seven of those guys on D are on NFL rosters right now, with two of them starting and a few others having meaningful playing time.

I know it's stupid revisionism, but it is what it is. That was still a fun as frick season to watch though.
